Bryan Salyer
Founder & Adventure Guide
A dedicated educator, collector of epic sunrises, and stereotypical middle child, Bryan has a passion for people, travel, and the great outdoors. After graduating from Purdue University and spending two years in the classroom teaching English and Publications, Bryan discovered the world of outdoor experiential education. His passion for education and planning meaningful experiences for people and organizations has taken him all over the world. With over 15 years of designing, running, and teaching wilderness, leadership, and cultural immersion programs, he is excited to share his passion and knowledge with those ready to explore this big beautiful world!
Mike Rosekrans
Founder & Adventure Guide
A passionate educator and environmental advocate, Mike has been lucky to work in some of the world's most beautiful landscapes. After earning his M.Ed from Western Washington University in collaboration with the North Cascades Institute, Mike's journey has taken him from the mountains of Southern California, to the snowcapped peaks of Denali, to the vast meadows of Yellowstone. After completing a memorable thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail alongside his wife – Emma – Mike is now settled back in Western Washington. He spends his time exploring the lush forests and majestic peaks of the Pacific Northwest, all while championing the preservation of endangered species throughout the region.
CAROLYN Coenen
Founder & Adventure Guide
A lover of travel and nature, Carolyn’s passion for the outdoors was first sparked during childhood camping and backpacking adventures with her family. Her connection deepened to wild spaces during her summers working on trail crews with the Student Conservation Association in Yosemite, Isle Royale, and Denali National Parks. After graduating college, Carolyn spent several years teaching outdoor education and leadership in the San Bernardino mountains before embarking on a transformative adventure in New Zealand with her now husband, Eben. Now, she delights in sharing her love of nature with her two girls and helping people explore and rejuvenate amidst the tranquility of the wilderness.
Eben Coenen
Founder & Adventure Guide
Eben grew up splashing through ponds and pools as a competitive swimmer, lifeguard, and swim coach. He first began his venture into experiential education when he embarked on a three-month study abroad program where he circumnavigated the globe. After experiencing such exotic locations, he dedicated himself to leading adventure and community service programs over the summers and working as an outdoor science instructor and program coordinator at an outdoor school. After a year of traveling with his fiance and now wife, Carolyn, Eben worked designing and running global leadership programs. His outlook and approach to life have enabled him to live on three different continents, experience countless new things, and develop a drive to inspire others to do the same.
